Colton & Bobby Barton

In 1982, Jim Rash began a wholesale shipping business for citrus and watermelon crops. Incorporated in 1983, Jim ran a successful business built on shipping quality product, honest relationships, and integrity.

In 1990, Jim's brother Earl Rash joined the company and focused on growing the company with the same values his brother had established.

In 2005, Jim Rash Inc. was acquired by Bobby Barton. Using his knowledge of the transportation, farming, and sales sides of the business, Bobby aimed to continue to partner with farmers and customers to provide fresh produce with excellent quality. Bobby currently serves as a board member of the Georgia Watermelon Association

In 2011, Jill Barton joined the team at Jim Rash Inc. Bringing her background in corporate sales management, she has continued the vision of partnering our customers with the highest quality watermelons and outstanding service. Jill received her MBA from Southeastern University and currently serves as a committee member on the National Watermelon Promotion Board and SEPC’s Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children committee.

For over 40 years, we have worked to build and maintain our reputation in the produce industry. Combined, our team has over 100 years experience with all things watermelon. Most of us grew up in this industry.  Summers weren't for vacations ... they were for working watermelons!

We believe in treating others how we want to be treated - with honesty and integrity. Handshakes and dirty trucks are pretty common around our offices. We work hard to deliver great watermelons and we enjoy doing it!
