In 1982, Jim Rash began as a wholesale shipping business for citrus and watermelon crops. Incorporated in 1983, Jim ran a successful company built on quality product, honest relationships, and integrity. In 1990, Jim's brother Earl Rash joined the company and focused on expanding the corporation with the same values his brother previously  established.

Since acquiring Jim Rash Inc. in 2005, the Barton family has grown the business with passion and purpose.  In an industry often defined by multi-generational legacies, the Bartons bring a unique perspective as first-generation farmers. Bobby Barton's journey began in the late 1990s, driven by a vision and work ethic that continue to shape the company today.

For over four decades, Jim Rash Inc. has been committed to earning and upholding its reputation in the produce industry.  Our team combines more than 100 years of produce experience, with many of us growing up immersed in the work.  Around here, summers didn't mean time off - they meant long days in the field working watermelons.

​In 2025, we were proud to take the next step in our journey by adding Florida strawberries to our operation, expanding our commitment to growing and delivering premium produce.
